A great wedding at Ickworth Hotel in Suffolk with the acoustic wedding band. The 3rd in a run of acoustic wedding band gigs and another
A quick look at yesterdays wedding at Ickworth Hotel in Suffolk. We had a great night and it was the 3rd outing for the acoustic wedding band trio in as many weeks!
The evening celebrations began at 20.00 with the cutting of the cake followed by their first dance Ribbons in the Sky for your love by Stevie Wonder. Nicola had requested three sets of an hour each with 30 min breaks between. The evening was hot and sticky we had thought that most of the guests would have taken advantage of the relatively cooler terrace but no the dancing was fast and furious and the atmosphere electric. We didn’t even pause for the tossing of the bouquet which took place during our Valerie/ Single Ladies mix.
It was Ann-Marie’s wish to have their first dance Chasing Cars outside, so the band set up outside adjacent to the old force in acoustic mode complete with 50s style double bass. ...A new format The Redfords will be offering in the future as it is ideally suited for smaller venues where perhaps sound levels may be an issue or an out door environment ... weather permitting of course.
Here is a quick preview of the next wedding to feature on The Redfords wedding band and acoustic duo's blog. Ann-Marie and Steve a lovely Kentish wedding at the Museum of Kent life in Maidstone Kent.
When the weather is good why not have an outside performance and first dance by The Redfords acoustic wedding band, with Tom on percussion, Matthew on acoustic guitar Jim and Cat vocals and introducing Danny on fire flame double bass.
Our busy wedding season tails off towards the end of November just as the Christmas party season is starting so why not take advantage this by booking The Redfords for your Company Christmas Party Celebrations.
Although staying in the manor house Sarah and John had arranged to have their evening celebrations in the relatively new Pavilion... ideally suited... as the room is purpose built for entertaining with an outdoor seating area to take advantage of the warm summer evening.
It's alway a bit tricky for a live band when guests ask if you know this song or that song, Not only do we need to know it but it also has to be suitable... So when one of the guests shouts Play that one!! ...... Play that one!! when we have already started it, it suits everyone !!!! ??? The song was Make you feel my love !!
